STUDY ON STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PRE-CAST STAGGERED CONCRETE WALL
نویسندگان
چکیده
A staggered pre-cast RC wall system is proposed. The can provide the flexibility of interior spaces and simplifications constructions. To investigate structural properties system, experiments using scaled specimens were carried out with varying vertical load acting on wall. experimental results showed that capacity could be evaluated by sum friction force connection area dowel reinforcement bars. Non-linear finite element analysis was conducted, validated results. analytical also supported bearing mechanism.

Productivity Improvement of Pre-cast Concrete Installation
The production process of pre-cast concrete installation is analyzed to investigate possible ways for onsite productivity improvement. Although manufactured construction enjoys higher quality and productivity, it is observed that it suffers delays compared to site built construction. Delay causes and respective severity are analyzed for improvement. Firstly, the production process is investigat...
متن کاملStaggered Domain Wall Fermions
Staggered Domain Wall Fermions (SDWF) combine the attractive chiral properties of staggered fermions with those of domain wall fermions. SDWF describe four flavors with exact U(1)×U(1) flavor chiral symmetry. An extra lattice dimension is introduced and the full SU(4)×SU(4) flavor chiral symmetry is recovered as its size is increased. Here, the free theory of SDWF is described and a preliminary...
متن کاملSensitivity analysis for seismic response of reinforced concrete staggered wall structures
This study investigates the sensitivity of design variables such as ultimate strength of concrete, yield stress of reinforcing steel and damping ratio to the seismic response of staggered wall structures. Two different methods for sensitivity analysis, the tornado diagram method and the first-order second-moment method, are applied to two types of model structures. Non-linear dynamic analyses a...
متن کاملStructural Engineering Forensic Evaluation of Misdiagnosed Concrete Masonry Wall Cracking
Given that concrete masonry walls are expected to experience shrinkage combined with thermal expansion and contraction, and in some cases even carbonation, throughout their service life, cracking is to be expected. However, after concrete masonry walls have been placed into service, originally anticipated and accounted for cracking is often misdiagnosed as a structural defect. Such misdiagnoses...
